In this extended guide, we will make a simple website using the direct output strategy.

In order to follow this easily, you should know how to create a rich text editor field, about the images field type, templates and how to create them, fields and how to create them and adding fields to templates.

The aim here is to provide a foundation to get you started with a few useful techniques thrown in along the way.

What are we going to make?

A simple website with a homepage, an about page, a section containing subsections and a menu to link them all together.
